Since Brad posted it already, figured I'd update things here too. Since his new job requires him to drive an extra 12 or so miles a day and since is truck only gets about 12 miles to the gallon, we figured it was time for him to get something that got better gas mileage. He was looking at some small cars that got between 25-30 mpg and I suggested if he got something....he might as well get something with some style :) so here is Brad's new ride, at my suggestion. (He's telling everyone it is NOT a mid-life crisis)

It's been awhile. A trip to Utah where we went from 100 degrees here to 75 there, with temps at night in the 40's. :) Still skiing in the mountains while boating on the lakes. Had a wonderful time. Now it's back to the 100+ days where even a breeze is still just hot air, the dogs won't even come outside to greet us, the plants can't get enough water.... it's hot.

Spring at last

As the end of March is nearing, figured I'd better put in some 'Spring' pictures before summer gets here.... of course, it's been 70+ degrees for the last week and today the high was 50 something :(

This is our driveway with the Bradford Pears blooming.

Day #4, and 5, More cleaning done, 'stuff' fixed in house, Jocelyn home for a 3 day weekend so she got to help on Sat. Brad had to go back to work.

Almost got the second dumpster full, the burn pile burned, more boxes gone through and junk tossed. Now have a big box and bags to go to Salvation Army or Goodwill, repacked some....after removing as many spiders as we could. Toys ready to give away. And all three of us are worn out.

Day 3

Dumpster #1 out, dumpster #2 in. Well house cleaned out, some of boxes emptied.

Weather in Arkansas

This week - Brad in a T-shirt.

Last week...snow 8 1/2 inches at the house.

Go figure

Day 2

Day 2, we received the dumpster today. Made a big difference. Now we're not just moving stuff around...we're actually throwing stuff away. Have lots of leftover railroad ties to sell and lots of piddly stuff to do before the 1st. Glad the weather is cooperating.

Finally started removing stuff from the attic of the garage at the old house. Found stuff we hadn't seen in 16 years. Lots of reminiscing before chucking some in the garbage and repacking other stuff to haul to the new house. Don't know how we lived without some of it :) This is Brad with his first present from me. A black & white TV so he could watch AFN while in the hospital at Landstuhl. It's 33 years old...and still works, of course you can't watch anything on it anymore...because it's so old. :)

More snow

Brad and the dogs, Chewy and Malachi, playing in the snow.

Snow Days

In Arkansas we very seldom have a lot of snow and yet this year we seem to be getting plenty. Monday 2/7 was nice, Tue was nice, Wed morning about 5:30 it started snowing and by 10, in some places of the state, it was white-out conditions. By the time it quit we had 8 1/2 inches at our house. Such fun...if only we could have stayed home and played instead of having to work.

Nap blankey

Here is a picture of the lap throw (i.e. nap blankey) that Jocelyn made me for Christmas. Figure it's been a month, I should post something. Have been working hard at working hard so haven't had much time to blog, maybe things will slow down a little for a month or so and I can get caught up.
